Label TextIn 1972, Salvador Dali completed a series of 17 prints of playing cards, consisting of an ace, jack, king, and queen of each suit and a joker. Some of the designs on the cards reference Dalí’s already famous works, including the melting watches and swarming ants in his Persistence of Memory (1931, The Museum of Modern Art, New York).
