Label TextBlampied was born in Jersey and studied at the Lambeth School of Art beginning in 1903. After 1923 Blampied concentrated his work on studies of the horse and on studies of human life and character, these subjects were the logical outcome of his boyhood experiences on the Channel Island of Jersey among the peasants, farm laborers, and animals.
