Label TextA native of Bogota, Colombia, Julio daCunha joined the University of Delaware art faculty in 1956 following graduate study at Cranbrook Academy of Art. Entanglements II was included in daCunha’s first solo exhibition at the Fifth Street Gallery in October 1975. The paintings in this series explore “attraction and repulsion” according to the artist, who explains that the compositions illustrate the paradox of “organic and geometric forms combined.”
