Label TextSloan captures Hemsley Winfield and Goldye Steiner singing the folk tune, "Frankie and Johnie," from e.e. cummings' play HIM. The three-act play combines elements of vaudeville, the circus, and expressionism, and Sloan thought it "about as thrilling an evening's entertainment as I have ever experienced." The play was first produced at the Provincetown Playhouse in New York in 1928.
