Label TextThis is one of 24 mugs designed by artists for the annual auction to benefit the library of the Salmagundi Club in 1902. It sold for $100 to a Mr. W. E. Baillie of Bridgeport, Connecticut, who "could hardly be induced to part with it; in fact, it could not be bought for one thousand dollars."
