Label TextThis drawing resembles illustrations Sloan produced to promote various Socialist party events between 1910 and 1916. In particular, the composition and key elements (especially the flagpole with open shackles) recall aspects of an advertisement he designed for the Local New York Socialist Party Concert and Ball, held on November 23, 1912.
