Label TextPoster Lore was a specialty magazine that published for one year (1896) at the height of the so-called poster craze. Bird was a highly successful poster artist. Here he caricatures the British illustrator Aubrey Beardsley, rendering the artist as obsessed and morose, surrounded by the swirling Art Nouveau designs and grotesque forms for which Beardely was famous.
