Label TextIn 1926, Leslie Thrasher accepted a commission to provide a cover a week for Liberty Magazine for the next six years. He devised an ongoing series called “For The Love o’ Lil,” with each cover accompanied by his explanatory text in the magazine. The covers followed the lives of the middle-class couple Lil Morse and Sandford Jenkins from their engagement through their early family years. Here Lil instructs her son in a Christmas bedtime prayer of thanksgiving.
