Label TextVan Rosen was a noted designer of modern sets and costumes in the mid-1920s. Reviewers noted his "futuristic settings and queer costumes" he designed for the staging of Princess Turandot in 1926. Theatre Arts Monthly praised his efforts: "He meets the problems of the Provincetown's small stage by relying on its cyclorama for a background, and placing adjustable and interchangeable units before it."
