Label TextIn describing this print, Moore wrote, “How precarious this road to Liberty and Justice. Greed and thirst for power will fiercely contest any traveler. And yet, the most pitiful ones are the fearful and indifferent. They would permit all of these ills to flourish by default.” The dramatic handling of the figures and landscape accentuate the artist’s message.
