Label TextIn this highly personal work, Deborah Willis refers to a moment from her past. While in school, a male professor admonished Willis for "taking up a good man's space " by enrolling in the program at Philadelphia College of Art (now University of the Arts). In the far right frame of the print, the artist is shown pregnant, making "space for a good man"—her artist son, Hank Willis Thomas.
