Label TextIn 1910, Sloan illustrated a story set in the Sudan called "The Last Shot at Omdurman" by Alexander Irvine. According to his diary, he went to the Astor Library to research the Sudan. This drawing of soldiers and the clearly labeled Sudanese flag may be related to that commission.
