Label TextHelen Coolidge Woodring produced this picture from hundreds of tiny shells and small pieces of cut fabric. It is based on "The Unicorn in Captivity," a tapestry made in the Netherlands around 1500, which is in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
