Label TextBoth nature and the Japanese pottery technique, nerikomi, influence the porcelain ceramics of Thomas Hoadley. Nerikomi is a traditional Japanese method of folding differently colored clays into loaves and slicing through to reveal the multicolored design. In Hoadley’s vessels, the pattern and form resemble those found in seashells or feathers.
