Label TextIn 1945, John Sloan gave his sister Marianna Sloan a gift of 14 oil paintings. Sloan gave the paintings with the knowledge that they would be sold by Marianna. Before selling the paintings, she made small pencil drawings of each, and recorded the painting title, the year it was made, the size, and the price asked for the painting.
