Label TextAn experienced portraitist and a fashion insider, Heiser produced several excellent portraits of fashion designers. When Heiser photographed him in 1989, the fashion designer Jean-Paul Gaultier was broadening his cultural ambitions, with the release of a dance single "How to Do That" (with English musician Tony Mansfield), and costume designs for Madonna's Blonde Ambition tour and Peter Greenaway's provocative film The Cook, the Thief, His Wife and Her Lover.
