Label TextYamamoto reinvigorated Japanese contemporary fashion and brought it onto the international stage in the 1970s. His inspirations included the art of Japan's Momoyama period (1568-1615) and traditional Kabuki theater. His elaborate runway shows inspired many fascinating photographs by Heiser.
