Label TextIn addition to illustrating children’s books, Rachel Brown documented scenes of Liverpool where she spent most of her adult life. Liverpool was an important commercial port during the 19th- and early 20th centuries. Here she depicts cargo being moved from the docks by barge to or from a waiting ship in the harbor.
