Label TextHaving begun as an Abstract Expressionist painter, Don Hazlitt combines bright colors with a focus on geometric shapes. Like Tuttle, whom the artist admired, Hazlitt experiments with form and places less focus on fine craftsmanship. The title and metallic colors are reminiscent of airplanes and machinery, and reference Cubo-Futurist paintings from the early 20th century.
