Label TextKenilworth Castle is a Norman and Tudor palace in Warwickshire, England. It was partially destroyed in 1649 to prevent it from being used as a military stronghold during the English Civil Wars. In the 18th and 19th centuries Kenilworth had a romantic appeal as a ruin and became a tourist destination.
