Label TextThis clever suffrage cartoon was made for the socialist newspaper, the New York Call. Though the drawing is dated 1913, Sloan sketched and described this cartoon in his diary on August 18, 1911, when he showed it to the publisher of The Call, who "thought it a great thing, but feared it was too broad to publish." It may have appeared later.
