Label TextA friend of John Sloan and other members of The Eight, Jerome Myers was one of the most prolific painters of the New York scene during the early decades of the 20th century. Described as a gentle poet of the slums, Myers drew his inspiration from the humble lives of the people who lived on New York's Lower East Side. Children were a perpetual source of inspiration for Myers.
