Deborah Remington
Date: American artist, 1935–2010
Biography: Deborah Remington was born in Haddonfield, New Jersey in 1935, and received her bachelor's degree in 1955 from the San Francisco Art Institute. Following graduation and travel abroad, the artist moved to New York in 1965 and in 1966 began showing with the Bykert Gallery. Later in her career, Remington exhibited with Jack Shainman Gallery and created 15 editions at Tamarind Institute. Remington is known for her hard-edge, abstract paintings and her involvement with the Beat scene in San Francisco in the early 1950s.
