Joyce Kozloff
Date: American painter and printmaker, born 1942
Biography: In addition to being an important artist in the feminist art movement, Joyce Kozloff is also one of the key figures in the Pattern and Decoration Movement of the 1970s, a style distinguished by geometric design from contemporary and ancient artistic sources. In her installation art, she creates brightly-colored, tile-filled spaces, like her 1984 mosaic in the Wilmington Train Station.
