Garry Knox Bennett

Biography: Garry Knox Bennett attended the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland from 1959 to 1962 and worked later as a metal sculpture. Primarily a self-taught studio furniture maker, Bennett draws on his experience with metals to combine wood with industrial materials such as aluminum, glass, and plastic laminates. His furniture forms reference historical arts and crafts movements while incorporating unique materials and designs.
