Anton Bruehl
Date: American and Australian photographer, 1900–1982
Biography: Australian-born Anton Bruehl immigrated to New York with his brother Martin in 1919. He studied at the Clarence White School of Photography, remaining there as an instructor until 1926, when he opened his own commercial studio in New York. Bruehl produced photographs for advertising and theatrical editorial spreads and became a leader in color photography.
