About: In this highly personal work, Deborah Willis refers to a moment from her past. While in school, a male professor admonished Willis for taking "space from a good man" by enrolling in the program at Philadelphia College of Art (now University of the Arts). In the far right frame of the print, the artist is shown pregnant, making space "for a good man"—her artist son, Hank Willis Thomas.
