About: The celebration of literature stimulated by the Pre-Raphaelites’ literary interests encompassed all aspects of “the book,” including illustration, typeface, and cover design. In this example, embroidery is used as a medium for the creation of the cover of a collection of biblical parables. Little if any information survives pertaining to the embroideress, Annie Morris. We do know she was not related to William Morris.
