About: In this story, a young woman stenographer takes a vacation that includes paid work as a cherry picker in Michigan, where she discovers love and a husband.
Ernest Fuhr created many story illustrations for Everybody's Magazine. In a feature describing himself in the January 1922 issue, he summarized his approach to illustration:
"I prefer working in color, and the stories I like most to illustrate are those with picturesque characters, of adventure and unusual surroundings. I think the function of an illustrator is not to specialize, but to illustrate intelligently any kind of story."
